A court in Delaware has dismissed an intellectual property lawsuit filed by Onego Bio against The EVERY Company, AgFunderNews reported on 11 October 2026. The ruling effectively ends a legal conflict between two major developers of precision-fermented egg proteins. According to AgFunderNews, the judge observed that Onego Bio had picked a fight and lost. [1]

The Delaware decision follows an earlier dismissal of a parallel lawsuit filed against The EVERY Company in Wisconsin in May, AgFunderNews reported. The EVERY Company welcomed the latest judgment, stating that the legal case was meritless from the start. Conversely, Onego Bio stated that the ruling provided helpful clarity despite the case being tossed out. [1]

Both biotechnology firms use precision fermentation processes to manufacture egg proteins. The EVERY Company utilizes specialized yeast strains to turn sugar into proteins that replicate those derived from animals. [1][3]

Onego Bio originally originated as a spin-off from the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. The VTT organisation is a Finnish state-owned research unit operating under the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment. [2]
