Japanese confectionery giant Glico is focusing its snack innovation on combining nutrition, health benefits, and indulgence, Food Navigator reported. According to Glico Chief Operating Officer for Asia Pacific Yukio Kimura, consumers are increasingly seeking products that feature natural sources of nutrition, functional benefits, and better-for-you attributes together in single offerings. [1]

Food Navigator reported that Glico operates across confectionery, processed foods, frozen desserts, and dairy products. This range gives the manufacturer broad exposure to multiple sectors within the global snack and nutrition landscape. [1]

Nutrition is the biochemical and physiological process by which an organism uses food and water to support life and create energy. While Glico bases its primary observations on developments in Asian markets, global snack research shows a matching international shift toward blending sensory experience, indulgence, and health benefits.
