The Giant Company launches store tours for GLP-1 users

The Giant Company launched guided supermarket tours at six stores in October 2026 to assist customers using GLP-1 weight-loss medications, Grocery Dive reported. The initiative is part of an expansion of nutrition and pharmacy wellbeing services across its retail network, according to reports by The Shelby Report, Progressive Grocer, and Mass Market Retailers. Grocery Dive reported that grocers are actively adapting to changing consumer habits caused by blockbuster drugs such as Ozempic and Wegovy. Retailers are directing shoppers toward high-protein and nutrient-dense items. For instance, Publix distributed a promotional brochure in June 2026 for weight-loss support, while Wakefern introduced wellness kits in February 2026. [1]

The Giant Company is headquartered in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and operates supermarket locations across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia under the Giant and Martin's banners.
