East Crema Coffee is raising new investment and pursuing additional growth channels to expand its footprint in Spain, World Coffee Portal reported. The strategy aims to capture a larger share of the fast-developing Spanish specialty coffee market. [1]

The Madrid-based boutique group was founded in 2020 and currently operates 21 outlets, World Coffee Portal reported. Its network includes locations in Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, San Sebastián, Seville, Valencia, and Zaragoza. [1]

All of the group's retail sites are supplied directly from its central roastery located in the Spanish capital, according to World Coffee Portal. The announcement comes less than four months after the business initially unveiled plans to triple its store footprint. [1]

Espresso serves as the foundation for many specialty coffee drinks, produced by forcing pressurized hot water through finely ground coffee beans. It is distinguished by its small volume and a top layer of foam known as crema. [2]
