South Korean coffee chain A Twosome Place opened its first US location in Alexandria, Virginia, on 17 October 2026. World Coffee Portal, The Korea Times, and The Korea Herald all report that the store opening drew large crowds and queues out the door. The debut marks an expansion effort by South Korean branded coffee chains seeking new market opportunities beyond East Asia. [1][3][5]

According to World Coffee Portal, the Seoul-based chain recorded strong opening-day sales, led by its signature Strawberry Chocolate Cream Cake. World Coffee Portal attributes the launch and early consumer interest to rising engagement with K-culture in the US market.
