Coles Group reported total sales revenue of 11.21 billion Australian dollars for the first quarter of financial year 2027, up from 10.96 billion Australian dollars in the same period last year, grafa.com reported. [1]

The revenue growth was driven by a 3.6 percent rise in supermarket sales to 10.32 billion Australian dollars, according to grafa.com. Online grocery orders surged 22.9 percent, which helped offset a 1.3 percent decline in liquor store sales, which fell to 831 million Australian dollars. [1]

Management confirmed that the company is continuing to invest in technology initiatives, including electronic shelf label installations and an expanded capability partnership with Accenture, grafa.com reported. Despite the sales growth, Coles shares fell 7.67 percent to close at 21.66 Australian dollars after a warning regarding first half performance. [1]
