The Ghirardelli Chocolate Company has introduced its first packaged cookie line, Food Business News reported. As FTMQ Food reported earlier, the company entered the packaged cookie market after surpassing 1 billion dollars in annual revenue for the first time last year. [1][2]
According to Food Business News, the new product lineup features two varieties, including classic chocolate chip crispy cookies and double chocolate crispy cookies. The classic chocolate chip variety contains the company's chocolate chips along with brown sugar, vanilla, and butter notes. The double chocolate variety incorporates dark chocolate chips, chocolate, and cocoa powder. [1]
Food Business News reported that both cookie varieties are sold in 6.3-ounce packages containing 10 cookies each. Bobby Oliver, vice president and head of marketing for The Ghirardelli Chocolate Company, stated that cookies represent a familiar daily treat for consumers. The move follows the company's previous launch of a refrigerated cookie dough line. [1]
As FTMQ Food reported earlier, parent company Lindt & Sprüngli noted that Ghirardelli led North American home baking growth in 2025. The new product line positions the brand to compete directly against established premium cookie brands such as Tate's and Famous Amos. [2]
