Nestlé has joined forces with board game brand Monopoly to give its Quality Street confectionery tubs a makeover for the festive season. Food Navigator, Confectionery News, and Kennedy’s Confection all reported that the move is part of a trend where confectionery brands use partnerships to drive sales and consumer engagement. The Grocer reported that the tie-up also celebrates the 90th birthday of Quality Street. [1][2][3][4][5]
Food Navigator reported that the new tub design replaces classic board locations like Mayfair and Marylebone with confection-themed names such as Caramel Swirl Way and Green Triangle Gardens. The promotion also offers shoppers opportunities to win prizes. [1]
Quality Street was first produced in 1936 by Mackintosh in Halifax, West Yorkshire, England. Nestlé has manufactured the tinned and boxed chocolates, toffees, and sweets line since 1988. [6]
According to Food Navigator, the collaboration aims to capitalize on the growing popularity of at-home entertainment during the festive holiday period. [1]
