Constellation Brands Reports Accelerating Beer Shipments and SpikedAde Acquisition in Q2

Constellation Brands reported a 5.5% increase in beer shipments for its fiscal second quarter and announced the purchase of ready-to-drink brand SpikedAde for $75 million.

Constellation Brands recorded accelerating shipments in its beer division for the second quarter of its 2027 fiscal year, Brewbound reported. Shipments to wholesalers rose by 5.5% year-over-year for the quarter ending August 31, 2026. Brewbound also noted that depletion losses narrowed to 0.6% during the same period. [1]

Alongside its quarterly financial performance, Constellation Brands acquired the spirit-based ready-to-drink brand SpikedAde, BevNET and Wine Industry Advisor both reported. BevNET reported that the deal was valued at $75 million, describing SpikedAde as the second-largest ready-to-drink vodka and hard sports drink brand. [2][3]

Wine Industry Advisor reported that the Rochester, New York-based beverage alcohol producer announced the transaction on October 6, 2026, as part of its second-quarter earnings report. [3]

BigGo Finance reported that although Constellation Brands topped quarterly estimates, its shares slipped because its margin outlook fell short of expectations. [4]
