Nestle reports higher third quarter sales driven by US frozen brands

Nestle beat third quarter financial forecasts after recording an organic sales growth of 4 percent, Food Processing and Pulse 2.0 reported. Food Processing reported quarterly sales of 22.756 billion Swiss francs, or about 27.5 billion dollars, up from 21.641 billion Swiss francs a year earlier. Pulse 2.0 reported sales of 22.8 billion Swiss francs, or 27.6 billion dollars. [1][4]

Food Processing reported that real internal growth was 2.8 percent while pricing added 1.1 percent. Chief executive officer Philipp Navratil, who took over leadership on September 1, 2025, stated that the company delivered a strong quarter of growth that was positive across all categories. Food Processing and the Wall Street Journal both reported that frozen food brands including Stouffer's, DiGiorno, and Hot Pockets expanded their market shares in the United States. [1][5]

Emerging markets continued strong growth while developed markets showed improving momentum, according to Food Processing. Bloomberg reported that pet food and snack demand also drove the sales increase for the quarter. US News and BusinessToday Malaysia both reported that the results followed the exclusion and deconsolidation of the company's business in Russia. [1][2][3][6]

Nestle remains the largest food company in the world, though it has faced criticism over its business practices since the 1970s. Earlier reports from FTMQ Food showed grocery retailers in the United States, such as Albertsons, have faced declining sales and pursued price cuts to rebuild customer traffic. [9][10]
