Indian restaurant Cavalli, located in Stone, Staffordshire, has been named Best Restaurant of the Year at the Curry Life Awards 2026, The Sentinel reported. The venue was established in October 2020 by manager Jawad Ahmed, who also oversees Monsoon Majestic in nearby Newcastle-under-Lyme. [1]

The Sentinel reported that Ahmed opened the venue by acquiring an existing Indian restaurant that was up for sale. The goal was to provide modern, high-quality Indian dining to the local market, and the establishment has since achieved a 4.9-star rating on Google reviews. [1]

Stone and Newcastle-under-Lyme are both towns located in Staffordshire, surrounding the city of Stoke-on-Trent. Staffordshire maintains a diverse regional economy supported by advanced manufacturing sectors, including headquarters of major global firms. [2][3]

The Curry Life Awards recognize top performing venues and businesses across the national curry sector. Ahmed expressed that the award reflects the customer support the venue has received since its opening. [1]
