Restaurateur and television presenter Rick Stein released a new cookbook, titled Rick Stein’s Cookery Course, on Thursday, October 29, 2026. The launch follows the permanent closure of his restaurant on Marlborough High Street in Wiltshire at the start of October last year. The Gazette and Herald reported on the release. [1]

The 79 year old chef's latest publication includes 150 classic recipes that draw on 60 years of culinary experience. Publisher Penguin describes the title as his most extensive book to date. The Gazette and Herald noted that the publication arrives weeks after Stein discussed the current business challenges facing the hospitality sector. [1][4]

Stein runs a hotel and restaurant business in the United Kingdom alongside his business partner and first wife, Jill Stein. Their business operates several restaurants, shops, and hotels in Padstow, as well as locations in Winchester and Barnes. In Australia, Stein serves as head chef and co-owner of the Rick Stein at Bannisters locations in Mollymook and Port Stephens with his second wife, Sarah. [6]

Over his career, Stein has authored more than 25 cookery books, including titles such as Rick Stein at Home, Simple Suppers, and Rick Stein’s Food Stories. His television career spans more than 30 programs and 12 series, primarily produced for the BBC. [6][7]
