Vitality Works Inc. of Albuquerque, New Mexico, has issued a nationwide recall for one lot of dietary supplement capsules due to possible Salmonella contamination, FDA Recalls reported. FDA Recalls, USA Today, and WWAYTV3 all confirm that the recall covers 365 Whole Foods Market Standardized plus Full Spectrum Blend Ashwagandha Capsules sold in 120 count bottles. [1][3][4]

The recall specifically applies to lot number 2025-26227, according to FDA Recalls. FDA Recalls stated that the company updated its press notice on October 30, 2026, to clarify that the affected items were distributed nationwide rather than to a selection of states. Related coverage by inkl and the Wichita Eagle confirms that the recalled supplement was distributed both through retail store locations and online through Amazon. [1][2][6]

Salmonella contamination presents a severe food safety threat that can cause serious infections and health issues, FDA Recalls noted. Other dietary and agricultural products have faced similar safety actions in recent weeks. As FTMQ Food reported earlier, companies including Gardeners Basics and EAK Distribution issued recalls in October for sprouting seeds sold online and nationwide due to potential Salmonella contamination.
