Middle Eastern halal restaurant concept De Babel opened its second location in Scottsdale, Arizona, in early September, Nation's Restaurant News reported. The new site is located at The Edge, a mixed-use development combining retail, office, and restaurant spaces in a high-traffic corridor. [1][2]

According to Nation's Restaurant News, the new venue expands on the original fast-casual business model. Including its large patio area, the location contains approximately twice as much seating as the original restaurant. [1]

Founder Marwan Kandeel told Nation's Restaurant News that the patio design is central to the concept because it allows the business to capitalize on temperate autumn weather in the region. The operator has also invested in a central commissary kitchen to support its hospitality operations. [1]

The business opened its original site after five years of operating in Scottsdale, which is situated in eastern Maricopa County within the Phoenix metropolitan area. [1][4]
