Sourdough specialist izzio artisan bakery announced on Nov. 5, 2026, that it has expanded the role of chief commercial officer Sara Kafadar to include the title of president, Food Business News reported. In this new position, Kafadar will co-lead the Louisville, Colorado-based business alongside chief executive officer Etai Baron. [1]

According to Food Business News, the peer leadership structure formalizes a longtime working relationship between Baron and Kafadar. Under the joint setup, Baron and Kafadar will together direct the national, family-owned baking company's overall vision, long-term strategy, corporate reputation, and organizational leadership. [1]

Baron, who is one of the founders of izzio, will maintain his oversight of the overall direction, institutional strength, and long-term value of the company, Food Business News reported. [1]

The executive update comes amid wider management realignments across the food and dining landscape. As FTMQ Food reported earlier, the United States restaurant sector recorded at least 37 executive changes during September 2026, which included seven chief executive turnovers across national and regional chains.
