Kraft Heinz has entered a definitive agreement to sell its North American coffee business to private equity firm One Rock Capital Partners, LLC for 650 million dollars. Food Navigator, Food Business News, and Daily Coffee News all reported the transaction on November 4, 2026. Kraft Heinz will retain a 30 percent non-controlling equity stake in the coffee division, according to Food Navigator. [1][4][7]

The transaction encompasses a portfolio of seven coffee brands, including Maxwell House, Gevalia, Nabob, Yuban, Tassimo, Ethical Bean, and Sanka. Food Navigator and Food Business News both listed all seven brands in the divestment. One Rock managing partner Tony W. Lee stated that the firm intends to accelerate investment across the portfolio to drive growth and innovation, according to Food Business News. [1][4]

Kraft Heinz plans to use the cash proceeds from the deal to reduce company debt, Food Navigator reported. The sale is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to close in mid-2027, according to Food Navigator. The deal forms part of broader turnaround efforts under the leadership of chief executive Cahillane, CNBC, Reuters, and Food Dive reported. [1][2][6][10]

The Kraft Heinz Company was formed on July 2, 2015, through the merger of Kraft Foods Group and the H.J. Heinz Company, and is co-headquartered in Chicago and Pittsburgh. As FTMQ Food reported earlier, Kraft Heinz has also been updating its digital product content strategy ahead of a planned early 2027 launch for Kraft Mac and Cheese Cheesy Ramen. [12][15]
