McCain Foods Canada has launched a line of frozen potato products specifically designed for air fryers, PotatoPro reported. The initial offering includes two new items, named Air Fryer Thin Crisps and Air Fryer Tater Crisps. [1]
According to PotatoPro, the products deliver restaurant-style crispiness within nine to ten minutes of cooking time. The launch aims to capitalize on the growing adoption of air fryers among Canadian households, where the compact appliances have become a common preparation method for french fries. [1]
Small countertop convection ovens designed for domestic kitchens are frequently marketed as air fryers, according to Wikipedia. These appliances use internal fans to circulate hot air evenly around food, which speeds up cooking times compared to traditional radiant ovens. [4]
To promote the new product lineup, McCain Foods Canada has launched a Fryjacking marketing campaign, PotatoPro reported. The promotional push includes special marketing events targeted at university campuses across Ontario. [1]
